Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Engineer or Principal Engineer Electronics - Communications (onsite) with opportunities at Palmdale, CA (also Tinker AFB OK, Rancho Bernardo CA, Melbourne FL). You will manage SOWs for COMM avionics subsystems, document designs, and collaborate across teams to meet environmental requirements.

Qualifying candidates will hold STEM degrees (BS/MS/PhD) and have 2–5+ years of related experience, plus the ability to obtain Secret clearance and SAP, with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in STEM with specified experience for Engineer or Engineer (Principal) levels.
• Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Government Secret Clearance and Special Program Access (SAP).

Responsibilities

• Manage SOW for Communications avionics subsystems with suppliers.
• Document designs using schematics, diagrams and specifications.
• Collaborate with subcontract engineers to meet subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
• Develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.

This SAP must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.Preferred Qualifications:Active US Government Secret clearanceActive Special Program Access (SAP)Primary Level Salary Range: $75,100.00 - $137,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $93,300.00 - $171,000.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
