Energy Jobline ZR in Indiana is seeking an experienced tooling and equipment engineer to develop, recommend, and troubleshoot tooling and processes for new product launches and cost savings. The role emphasizes project management and expertise with press brake operations.

The ideal candidate will design tooling with AutoCAD/Inventor, lead process improvements, and ensure quality and safety across manufacturing steps. 3–5 years of relevant experience and a technical degree are preferred.

Competenze

• 3–5 years of tooling/manufacturing experience.
• Experience with CNC programming is a plus.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor.
• BS/technical degree preferred, high school diploma acceptable with experience.

• Prepares cost estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; observing operators.
• Designs, recommends, and advises on tooling, fixtures, and fabrication equipment including repair and build.
• Light design for stamping dies, locating fixtures and machining fixtures.
• Troubleshoots metal forming operations, including stamping, welding and press brake.

• Creates and maintains Process Inspection Boards.
• Develops manufacturing processes and improvements.
• Assures product quality by developing robust processes, inspection methods, and tooling.

Job DescriptionJob Description

Develop, recommend, and trouble shoot tooling and equipment and manufacturing processes. Ensure new product launch success. Define and implement cost savings and process improvements.

Project Management and Press Brake experience

Principal Responsibilities:

• Prepares work to be cost estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
• Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research, applying knowledge of product design, fabrications, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators
• Design, recommend, and advise on manufacturing tools, fixtures, and fabrication equipment including repair and build
• Light design for stamping dies, locating fixtures and machining fixtures
• Provide trouble shooting of metal forming operations, including stamping, welding and press brake
• Create and maintain inspection drawings of parts using AutoCAD and Inventor
• Create and maintain Process Inspection Boards
• Develop manufacturing processes and improvements
• Assure product quality by developing robust processes, inspection methods, and tooling
• Contribute to quoting of new work through analyzing previous performance and developing process workflows
• Launch new programs and assist with creating tooling, Machining trials and improvements

• Safety glasses with side shields as required.
• Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma, 2-year Technical/engineering degree – BS in Engineering (experience can substitute for degree)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience
• Experience in Tool & Die maintenance a plus
• CNC programming a plus, as is Elumatic experience
• Project Management experience
• Press Brake experience a plus in this position
• MS Office (including Word and Excel)
• MS Projects – experience a plus
