Paycom in Florida seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the Engineering Department in maintaining and repairing building systems. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage a team of technicians, and work with vendors to ensure timely and compliant service.

The role requires hands-on oversight, strong communication, and a background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry. Candidates should be able to supervise others while performing essential tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of engineering management experience.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • College degree or technical school preferred.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

  • Assign and supervise maintenance and repair work in the Engineering Department.
  • Coordinate with vendors and obtain price, availability and delivery details.
  • Process purchase requests for department needs.
  • Supervise outside contractors and ensure quality and cleanliness of work site.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance for mechanical and public areas.
  • Attend scheduled meetings as required.
  • Work across the property to assist operations as needed.

SUMMARYCoordinates and supervises activities related to the maintaining and repairing of physical systems of buildings and equipment. Coordinates and supervises preventative maintenance of public areas and maintenance rooms. Supervises the work of others and performs needed work him/herself as necessary.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for assigning work and supervising all of the maintenance and repair work of the following employees in the Engineering Department:General MaintenanceHVAC/RefrigerationElectrician,Plumber/Kitchen MechanicCarpenterPainterConfer with vendors to obtain product and service information such as price, availability and delivery scheduleProcess purchase requests for items needed by the Engineering DepartmentSupervise work of outside contractors as needed and make sure work was properly performed and the job site left cleanSupervise Mechanical and Public Area for preventative maintenance per standards and schedulesAttend scheduled meetings as requiredOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
