Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer and expertise in the Microsoft Azure cloud ecosystem. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines, data warehouses, and scalable storage solutions. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable enterprise insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Architecture: Design and optimize cloud-based data structures, including data lakes, lakehouses, and enterprise data warehouses.
• Pipeline Engineering: Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines for both batch and real-time streaming data.
• Big Data Processing: Cleanse, transform, and aggregate massive datasets using distributed computing frameworks.
• Collaboration & Integration: Work alongside DevOps and software teams to integrate data pipelines into broader application ecosystems.
• Governance & Security: Implement data security, access control, and privacy regulations using cloud identity management and encryption tools.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows to reduce cloud costs and improve query speeds.

Required Skills & Experience

• Cloud Expertise: Possess a strong conceptual understanding of cloud infrastructure, specifically how to build and maintain data solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Programming & SQL: Advanced proficiency in writing optimized SQL and developing applications using Python (including PySpark or Scala frameworks).
• Data Modeling: Solid, fundamental understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and modern Data Lakehouse architectural concepts.
• DevOps Practice: Proven experience with Git version control systems and deploying infrastructure or code via automated CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Streaming Tools: Familiarity with Azure Event Hubs, IoT Hubs, or Kafka.
• Analytical databases: Experience with Click house or similar analytical systems.
