eNGINE is hiring a Technical Data Architect, a key contributor in the design, development, and optimization of our enterprise data warehouse and data engineering ecosystem built on Azure and Databricks. This role combines hands‑on technical implementation with architectural leadership, ensuring data solutions are performant, scalable, and aligned with business and analytical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data architecture solutions across Azure and Databricks, including data lakes, data models, and integration frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain efficient and scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to translate business requirements into data models, pipelines, and reusable frameworks.
  • Establish technical standards for data ingestion, transformation, and quality assurance, ensuring consistency across the enterprise.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot ETL/ELT workflows and data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute hands‑on development and code reviews, ensuring clean, maintainable, and production‑ready solutions.
  • Implement data governance and security best practices, including access controls, auditing, and data lineage documentation.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, patterns, and techniques to improve data processing, storage, and delivery within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Mentor engineers in modern data architecture principles, performance tuning, and automation practices.
  • Document architecture designs, data flows, standards, and operational procedures to support ongoing maintenance and scalability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture, with recent hands‑on experience in Azure‑based environments.
  • Expertise with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake services.
  • Proficient in SQL, PySpark, and Python for data transformation, scripting, and automation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling, data normalization, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Experience designing and maintaining scalable, production‑grade data infrastructure in a cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with data governance, quality frameworks, and metadata management.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience with Agile delivery, CI/CD practices, and version control using Azure DevOps (ADO) or Git.
