Job summary

LEO A DALY is seeking an Engineer I who, under close supervision, assists with engineering system design across multiple projects, performing design calculations, preparing cost estimates, reports, permits, and deliverable drawings.

Responsibilities include assisting in design, researching options, data collection, basic computations, and site observations; work with staff and officials, with limited client-facing duties. The firm offers a strong benefits package and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 0–1 year experience.
• Engineer-in-Training / Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT).
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or discipline-specific software.
• Understanding of timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Critical Thinking and Attention to Detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist Engineers and Designers in the design and detail of engineering systems; write/edit specifications and research design options on appropriate devices, equipment, and system selections.
• Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks. Research document findings and providing recommendations.

Requirements

• Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or discipline-specific software.
• Competence in interpreting data, using statistics, and applying analytical tools.
• Understanding of timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation

Salary range for this position varies between $65,000 – $85,000, depending upon applicable experience.
