Job summary

Martin/Martin Wyoming, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Wyoming office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types.

A typical work week can include engineering calculations, drawing development, site visits, etc. This position allows for interactions with owners, architects, contractors, etc. early in your career along with opportunities for marketing activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
  • Has passed FE Examination.
  • 0–4 years of experience.
  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Relocation assistance may be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering calculations and prepare project details.
  • Develop drawings and review submittals.
  • Conduct site visits and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Write reports and document project progress.
  • Provide field observations during construction.

Martin/Martin Wyoming, Inc is looking for an entry-level Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering Group in our Wyoming office. This engineer will work for multiple project managers on a broad range of project types.

A typical work week can include engineering calculations, drawing development, site visits, etc. This position allows for interactions with (owners, architects, contractors, etc.) early in your career along with opportunities for marketing activities.

Each project presents unique challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as an engineer. The successful candidate will develop expertise in a broad range of Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Knowledge and use of computer design and CAD software
  • Prepares details and calculations for project components and systems
  • Learns about products and construction procedures
  • Prepares and writes reports
  • Provides field observation during construction
  • Studies and applies building code and/or jurisdictional requirements
  • Reviews shop drawings and product submittals
  • Checks own work
  • Coordinates work with other disciplines
  • Acts proactively and proposes potential solutions to problems
  • Works overtime, when necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an engineering curriculum in Architectural, Civil, Structural, or related engineering field.
  • Has passed FE Examination
  • Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner and instills confidence in their communication and technical abilities
  • 0-4 years' experience
  • Must be eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Ability to work in the Cheyenne, Wyoming area. Relocation reimbursement may be provided, depending on the role and job function.

Working Conditions, Skills, and Abilities

This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:

  • Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time
  • Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
  • Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
  • Identify color
  • Read, communicate, and document in English
  • Determine and exchange accurate information
  • Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Compensation

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

  • Base Salary: This is a salaried position with accrued time eligibility.
  • Accrued Time: Accrued time allows additional compensation or time-off to be earned for any eligible hours worked exceeding 40 hours per week.
  • Base Salary Review: This role is eligible to participate in Martin/Martin's annual base salary increase review process.
  • Annual Bonus: This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary annual bonus program.

Base salary review and increases, in addition to annual bonuses, are dependent on various factors, including a hired individual’s job-level and annual company performance.
