Job summary

Kaw Valley Engineering is seeking a qualified civil engineer for a full-time, salaried position with opportunities across multiple offices in Kansas and Missouri. The role includes project research, preparing plans and technical specifications, and contributing to technical studies.

The successful candidate will participate in client meetings and engage in projects involving stormwater management, site development, and utilities, with a path toward PE licensure.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Passed the FE exam.
• 0–4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to collaborate with staff in a team setting.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Willingness to pursue PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Complete project research.
• Assist in preparing plans, contract documents, and technical specifications.
• Write technical studies.
• Attend client meetings and discussions.
• Apply skills to projects involving stormwater management, site development, public improvements, utilities, and drainage.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate shall possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited degree program.
• Have already passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
• Have 0 to 4-years of relevant experience
• Possess the ability to collaborate with other staff members in a team setting
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
• The candidate must also be committed to eventually become a licensed professional engineer (PE).
