Job summary

Kaw Valley Engineering, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to support projects across our Kansas offices, including stormwater, site development, public improvements, utilities and drainage.

Requirements include a B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited), passing FE exam, 0–4 years of relevant experience, ability to collaborate, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; becoming a licensed PE is encouraged.

Over time, this privately owned civil and geotechnical engineering firm has grown to 180+ employees working in six (6) offices in Kansas and one (1) office in Missouri. Job Description

The successful candidate will have an active role in the following:

• Completing project research
• Assisting in the preparation of plans, contract documents, and technical specifications
• Writing technical studies
• Attending client meetings and discussions.
• The candidate will have the opportunity to apply their skills on a variety of projects involving stormwater management, site development, public improvements, utilities, and drainage.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate shallpossess a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited degree program.
• Have already passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
• Have 0 to 4-years of relevant experience
• Possess the ability to collaborate with other staff members in a team setting
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus
• The candidate must also be committed to eventually become a licensed professional engineer (PE).
