Job summary

Stanley Consultants, Inc. seeks an Engineer-In-Training for Transportation Design in West Palm Beach. You will gain meaningful experience on highway projects, including roadway studies, drainage, preliminary and final design, and construction documents.

You’ll be mentored by seasoned engineers and work on a variety of transportation design tasks. The role requires an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree, EIT eligibility (or within 3 months of hire), and 0–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSCE required.
• EIT registration or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 0–2 years civil engineering experience; internships/co-ops preferred.
• Proficiency with Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil3D.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work onsite in West Palm Beach; remote work may be possible based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and learn from experienced Professional Engineers and be mentored by industry leaders in transportation.
• Support experienced engineers on transportation projects, including plan development for a comprehensive range of transportation design projects, including horizontal and vertical geometry, cross sections, earthwork modeling, 3D roadway modeling, quantities calculations, construction specifications, and utility coordination.
• Enjoy a diverse client base enabling you to follow your passion in engineering.

If selected you will gain meaningful engineering experience on highway projects including roadway studies and design, drainage and utility systems, preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, project scheduling, and large, complex highway corridors.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program.
• Engineer Intern (EIT) registration required, or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• 0-2 years of civil engineering experience, prior relatable internship/co-op experience preferred.
• Proven communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs.
• Experience with or capable to learn Bentley OpenRoads Designer and Autodesk Civil3D.
• Experienced in and fully capable of using the Microsoft software suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm.
• Proven strong work ethic and a collaborative team player.
