Job summary

Stanley Consultants in Denver, CO seeks a Substation Engineer-in-Training to join the design team. You'll develop substation layouts, grounding, conduit/cable plans, and relay panel wiring with cross-discipline coordination.

Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited), up to 2 years' experience, FE exam passed or planned within 6 months; strong verbal/written communication and MS Office skills; must be able to work in the United States.

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
  • Up to 2 years of experience.
  • FE Exam passed or will be taking it within 6 months of hire.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience.
  • Must be able to work legally in the United States for any length of time.

Responsibilities

  • Design substation layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design.
  • Generate single- and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring and DC schematics; layout lighting and relay panels.
  • Coordinate with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines; work as part of a design team.

Stanley Consultants is currently looking for a Substation Engineer-in-Training to work in our Denver, COoffice. This position will work on the design of substation physical layouts, lightning protection, conduit and cable plans, grounding analysis and design, generating single and three-line schematic diagrams, panel wiring, DC schematics, control building and relay panel layouts, lighting design, and coordination with structural, civil, transmission line, and graphics disciplines. Will work as part of a design team; could be assigned to more than one project.

  • Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited University
  • Up to 2 years of experience
  • Must have passed FE Exam or will be taking the FE Exam within the next 6 months of being hired
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Must be able to work legally in the United States for any length of time.
