Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking an Engineer III to join the Fuel Design Engineering team. The role focuses on static and dynamic analysis of nuclear fuel assemblies to ensure safe, reliable operation under normal and abnormal conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of engineering standards and criteria.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform static and dynamic analysis of fuel assemblies.
• Ensure assemblies maintain coolable geometries under normal and abnormal conditions.
• Conduct seismic, LOCA, buckling, stresses, bow, and FIV analyses.
• Work autonomously with minimal guidance and contribute to process improvements.
