Job summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain and re-lamp all lamps in the resort; socket repair and placement.
• Perform repairs as requested, including electrical, plumbing and minor HVAC tasks.
• Keep work areas clean, organized and safe.
• Provide friendly, professional service and personalized assistance to guests.
• Respond to guest concerns about room or public area maintenance promptly.
• Follow safety rules when using tools, chemicals, ladders or equipment.
• Assist with plumbing stoppages and electrical wiring installations for renovations.
• Maintain maintenance logs reflecting all work completed during shift.
• Notify management of accidents, safety concerns, or emergencies.

Job description

The Engineer III is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and completing work orders related to guest rooms and public areas. They must conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to reflect the high standards of the company.

• Maintain and re-lamp all lamps in the resort, including socket repair and placement.
• Perform repairs as requested, including changing light bulbs, plumbing stoppages, television adjustments and minor electrical repairs.
• Main a clean, neat, organized and safe work area.
• Project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized services to guests.
• Respond to guest concerns regarding the maintenance of their room or public area in a timely manner.
• Understand and follow all safety rules and precautions when using tools, chemicals, ladders, or other potentially dangerous equipment or supplies.
• Provideassistance for all plumbing stoppages in the resort.
• Provide assistance with installation of electrical wiring for renovations, electrical outlet additions, motors and related equipment.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on any and all equipment as needed and/or requested.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs reflecting all work completed on shift.
• Notify management staff of accidents, safety concerns, emergency repairs, fires, power failures or other maintenance related situations.
• Maintain a respectful working relationship with management staff and other employees.
• Follow all procedures when responding to any hotel emergency or safety situation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

• 1-3years of engineering experience required. Previous experience in a resort/hotel environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of maintenance methods and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Must be able to work with management, employees and customers in a professional manner.
