Liquidity Services, a leading global e-commerce marketplace for surplus assets, seeks a remote Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and support modern web apps using React, Next.js, Node.js and AWS. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting modern web applications and services using React, Next.js, Node.js, and AWS cloud technologies while enhancing and maintaining existing enterprise platforms. The role participates in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, application design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation, deployment, and production support for customer-facing and internal software solutions.
The position works independently on assigned projects and collaborates closely with team members to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The role is expected to solve routine to moderately complex technical challenges, contribute to application design discussions, and make implementation decisions within established development standards and best practices. Compared to entry-level software development positions, this role requires a broader understanding of full-stack development concepts, increased ownership of assigned features and enhancements, and accountability for delivering reliable, maintainable code. The work performed in this position directly supports product functionality, operational efficiency, and the overall user experience.
Education/ Experience:
Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience
2-5 years of demonstrable professional experience on the Express js web stack
Experience developing, supporting, and maintaining Node.js applications, including troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements.
Experience developing responsive web applications using React and Next.js.

Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
The salary range for this position is $85,400 to $96,050 annually. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
