Job summary

Liquidity Services, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and support modern web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, and AWS cloud technologies. You will participate in the full SDLC, deliver scalable solutions, and work independently on projects while collaborating with teammates to meet high standards.

The role emphasizes ownership of features, adherence to standards, and reliable, maintainable code, with opportunities for growth in a larger enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of demonstrable professional experience on the Express.js web stack.
• Experience developing, supporting, and maintaining Node.js applications, including troubleshooting issues, resolving defects, and implementing enhancements.
• Experience developing responsive web applications using React and Next.js.
• Familiarity with the Bootstrap framework.
• Experience with agile development environments and Scrum methodology a plus.
• Experience in AWS environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and provide solutions for complex software development tasks, providing design documentation as required.
• Collaborate with business unit leadership to understand business requirements and translate into technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure the quality of work delivered by the team.
• Provide production support and root-cause analysis as needed.
• Ensure monitoring alerts are addressed for system quality, availability, and security.
• Engage in On Call and after-hours maintenance activities.
• Conform to architectural and coding standards and defensive programming practices.
