Job summary

Liquidity Services is seeking a Sales Account Executive to build and grow client relationships while delivering strong sales results. You will manage the full client lifecycle, onboard new accounts, and drive long-term growth, retention, and revenue expansion as the primary contact for your portfolio.

The role requires excellent communication, strong analytical thinking, and proactive opportunity management in a fast-paced environment. This is a remote position reporting to the Director of Sales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; major in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales, account management, or client success role with responsibility for acquiring, growing, and retaining client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed revenue and performance targets through the acquisition, growth, and retention of client accounts.
  • Build and manage a portfolio of client accounts by converting inbound leads into long‑term client relationships.
  • Qualify inbound opportunities, assess business needs, and develop solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact throughout the partnership.
  • Own all aspects of client relationships including onboarding, training, and ongoing support, ensuring continued growth and retention.
  • Manage all aspects of the pre‑ and post‑sales experience for accounts through collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful completion of transactions and a positive, consistent customer experience.

Job Description

We’re looking for a Sales Account Executive who thrives on building and growing client relationships while delivering strong sales results. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the full client lifecycle, from qualifying inbound opportunities and onboarding new accounts to driving long‑term growth, retention, and revenue expansion. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for your portfolio of accounts, balancing new client acquisition, strategic account management, and hands‑on operational support to deliver a seamless customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a service‑minded self‑starter with exceptional communication skills and a passion for building strong, long‑term client relationships. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, effective prioritization, and a proactive approach to managing opportunities in a fast‑paced environment. The ability to balance relationship management, revenue generation, and operational responsibilities is essential.

This position reports directly to the Director of Sales and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our customer base and overall business.

Responsibilities

Perform day‑to‑day administration of all account‑related activities, opportunities, pipeline updates, and forecasting within the relevant business and CRM systems

Lead and actively participate in client meetings

Create and execute strategic account plans designed to achieve client goals while supporting business objectives

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

Bachelor’s degree required; major in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field strongly preferred

3+ years of experience in a quota‑carrying sales, account management, or client success role with responsibility for acquiring, growing, and retaining client relationships

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Outstanding interpersonal skills that allow successful business interactions with individuals of all leadership styles, personalities, and career levels

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint

Ability:

Ability to work effectively in time‑sensitive situations while maintaining a high standard of client service

Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage time effectively while prioritizing and executing multiple tasks at once

Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and decision‑making competencies

Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:

This position is fully remote, with candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone strongly preferred. The successful candidate will maintain regular business hours aligned with the Eastern Time Zone and be consistently available throughout the workday. Because this is a highly collaborative role involving frequent interactions with customers, leadership, and cross‑functional teams, reliable daytime availability and timely responsiveness are essential.

The ideal candidate must maintain a dedicated, private workspace with reliable high‑speed internet and cell phone service. This role requires a professional work environment conductive to client interactions, virtual meetings, and focused work with minimal distractions.

Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs.

In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for other compensation, such as commission.

The salary range for this position is $52,100 to $65,100 annually. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
