AlphaStaffHCM client seeks an Engineer II to provide engineering and project management support for terminal, storage, pipeline, and facility operations across gas and liquid assets. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, and Project teams to advance capital projects and asset optimization while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering, project management, or operations support experience.
• Experience in natural gas, liquids, midstream, terminal, or energy industry.
• Experience managing engineering projects from conception to implementation.
• Experience supporting industrial facilities, terminals, storage assets, pipelines, or related infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction practices, and project execution methodologies.
• Experience using engineering analysis, modeling, or specialty software.
• Knowledge of applicable industry codes, regulatory requirements, and engineering standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with cross-department collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for small to medium-sized engineering projects, including design, development, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop project scopes, technical specs, cost estimates, and engineering packages for terminal, storage, pipeline, and facility projects.
• Support gas and liquid asset operations, including bulk storage, rail loading/unloading, and marine terminal operations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and consultants for successful project execution.
• Prepare and review technical construction specs, drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Evaluate project plans to ensure compliance with codes, safety requirements, and standards.
• Perform engineering analyses and use simulation/modeling tools for planning and optimization.
• Evaluate contractor bids, equipment selections, and material specs for objectives and budgets.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, and performance; resolve project-related challenges.
• Provide engineering support and troubleshooting for operating assets and facility infrastructure.
• Participate in Process Safety Management activities (PHA, LOPA, PSSR, MOC).
• Support projects involving acquired assets with incomplete documentation.
• Work in fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Promote safety culture and regulatory compliance.
