Job summary

Cadrex is seeking a Process Engineer II to evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, reducing costs and improving sustainability. The role focuses on developing best practices within production and ensuring alignment with product specifications.

Responsibilities include supervising engineers, implementing process improvements, and oversight of project timelines. A strong background in LEAN and CAD tools is preferred, along with experience in high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in manufacturing engineering or related field; substitution allowed for 5 years industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • PC literacy; MS Office and internet use.
  • LEAN principles knowledge or continuous improvement skills.
  • Excellent organizational and workflow-analysis skills.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Solid project planning and management abilities for prioritizing tasks.
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment.
  • CAD experience with 2D/3D tools (SolidWorks/AutoCAD preferred).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on corrective actions and ensure timely project completion.
  • Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing data and trends.
  • Assist in price quotes and job costing reviews.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge; participate in LEAN activities.

Job description

Cadrex is searching for a Process Engineer II to evaluate new and existing processes and configure manufacturing systems to reduce costs, improve sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage large project timelines and resources
  • Provide oversight and guidance to level I Process Engineers
  • Identify, recommend, and implement approved methods or process improvements
  • Identify equipment, processes and tooling needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout
  • Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers
  • Develop innovative solutions
  • Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
  • Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of the production process
  • Advise on corrective actions
  • Ensure projects are completed on time
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Assist in price quote development and job costing reviews
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge
  • Actively participate in LEAN manufacturing activities
RequirementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Possess well-developed and demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • PC knowledge/computer literate; including the ability to work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), e-mail and use the internet
  • Working knowledge of LEAN principles or other continuous improvement skills
  • Possess excellent organizational skillsSkilled at workflow analysis
  • Experience with high volume manufacturing
  • Must have strong project planning and management skills to prioritize tasks and establish framework and systems for managing areas of responsibility
  • Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment
