Job summary

H.F. Lenz Engineering (HFL) in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Designer to focus on HVAC systems for Commercial buildings.

You will utilize AutoCAD and Revit modeling, perform load calculations, and size equipment while learning from senior staff and coordinating with clients and vendors. The role requires a Mechanical or Architectural Engineering degree and 0–5 years of related experience, with EIT/FE a plus and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 0–5 years of mechanical/HVAC design experience preferred.
• EIT/FE certification is a plus; Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or Inventor required.

Lenz Engineering (HFL), a leading consulting engineering firm is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Designer for our growing team in Pittsburgh, PA.This role will be responsible for performing engineering and design focused on HVAC systems for various Commercial buildings and facilities. The candidate will work closely with our team to turn our client's needs and our ideas into reality utilizing AutoCAD and Revit modeling. The candidate will also be responsible for performing load calculations and sizing equipment. This role also presents the opportunity to learn from professional engineering staff, conduct field studies & construction observation, and interface with clients and vendors.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering;0-5 years of mechanical or HVAC design experience is preferred or a combination of experience with education and training;EIT / FE certification is a plus;Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or Inventor is required.Knowledge of construction, ASHRAE codes and Specifications is preferred.Ability to work in and foster a team environment with minimal supervision;Ability to meet project deadlines and provide outstanding service to clients;Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects;Ability to coordinate between multiple trades & disciplines.Ability to travel to project sites as necessary.About HFL:We are a full-service engineering, design and construction management firm headquartered in Johnstown, PA.
