Job summary

Rockline Industries, a leading disinfectant wipes and coffee filter producer, is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer II at our main plant in Sheboygan, WI. You will design and develop manufacturing equipment and processes, support reliability, safety, and process improvements while coordinating with contractors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical-related field and 4 years of PLC programming in manufacturing.
• In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, additional years of experience may be considered.
• Experience with Rockwell PLC/HMI/Servo/VFD programming.
• Knowledge of automation networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet, ASi, ControlNet, DH+, Remote I/O, RS232).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar electrical design software.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and P&ID drawings.

Responsibilities

• Modify/write PLC/HMI/other system programs.
• Update/create electrical schematics.
• Determine requirements for new equipment/systems.
• Install new automation on existing equipment; coordinate installation and modify PLC/HMI programs.
• Perform testing and validation; complete training for new systems.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Oversee replacement of obsolete components and oversee spare parts.
• Update/create P&ID drawings.
• Obtain quotes for parts/services.
• Coordinate work for contractors/services.
• Support device communications on the machine Ethernet network.

Rockline Industries, a leading disinfectant wipes and coffee filter producer, is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer at our main plant in Sheboygan, WI. As an Electrical Controls Engineer II, you will be responsible for electrical design and development of manufacturing equipment and processes while supporting continuous improvement in equipment reliability, safety, and process.

What You’ll Do:

• Modifying/writing new PLC/HMI/other system programs.
• Update/create electrical schematics.
• Determine requirements for new equipment/systems.
• Installing new automation on existing equipment. Coordinate and oversee the installation. Modify necessary PLC/HMI programs.
• Perform testing and validation work as required. Complete required paperwork and training for new systems.
• Getting to the root cause and leading efforts to apply corrective action to prevent future incidents.
• Identify obsolete components and lead the effort to oversee the replacement with readily available components.
• Identify required spare parts, understand lead times and possible substitute parts, and recommend quantities to stock.
• Update/create P&ID drawings.
• Getting quotes for parts or services.
• Coordinate work for hired contractors and services.
• Support device communications on the machine ethernet network.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical-related field and 4-years of PLC programming in manufacturing environment.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, additional years of experience may be considered.
• PLC/HMI/Servo/VFD programming experience using Rockwell Automation platform.
• Knowledge of automation networks and communications, including Ethernet, DeviceNet, ASi, ControlNet, DH+, Remote I/O, RS232, and the software used to support these.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar electrical design software.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and P&ID drawings.
• Strong analytical skills and exposure to project management.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and OSHA regulations.
• Computer skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
