Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Hauppauge, NY is seeking an experienced RTL Design Engineer to join our embedded controller team.

You will work on processor-based products used in tablets, notebooks, and embedded systems, participating in design, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, pre-silicon FPGA emulation, and test vector generation. Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in RTL Design for ASIC implementation.
• Experience with RTL Design tools that include design entry, synthesis, formal verification, RTL/gate level implementation, cross domain clocking analysis and static timing analysis
• Course and practical usage in Static Timing Analysis and Verilog simulation tools
• Should be able to design complex state machines and data path logic

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, synthesize, and perform timing closure for ASIC/embedded controller projects.
• Work on processor-based products used in tablets, notebooks and embedded systems.
• Prepare pre-silicon FPGA emulation and test vector generation.
• Collaborate with the ASIC design team in Hauppauge, NY.

Job Description

Join the fast paced world of embedded controller design at Microchip - the world's leading embedded controller solutions supplier. As part of our seasoned ASIC design team, you will work on processor based products that go into tablets, notebooks and embedded systems. You will be mentored and work on all System on Chip methodologies including design, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, pre silicon FPGA emulation and test vector generation.

Located in Hauppauge, NY we are within commuting distance from NYC.

Requirements/Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 3 to 5 years of experience in RTL Design for ASIC implementation
• Experience with RTL Design tools that include design entry, synthesis, formal verification, RTL/gate level implementation, cross domain clocking analysis and static timing analysis

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 to $143,000.*

• Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
