Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Airport is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our hotel operations. The role requires open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with compensation based on experience. Responsibilities include inspecting systems, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing guest issues promptly while keeping the property safe and well-maintained.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with relevant maintenance experience.
• Two years minimum maintenance or trades experience in a hotel setting.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect hotel operating systems and components for safe, efficient operation.
• Respond to front desk guest issues and notify when actions are complete.
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain hotel grounds, landscaping, and parking areas.
• Execute PM schedules to ensure guest rooms meet brand standards.
• Handle painting, carpentry, plumbing, and carpet cleaning as needed.
• Work full-time with open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Note: duties may be reassigned by management.

Job description

Courtyard by Marriott Orlando Airport is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer. Compensation is based on experience. Must have open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Company benefits include health, vision, dental, PTO, 401k, employee discounts, and much more.

Essential Job Functions

• Inspects all operating systems and components of the hotel to ensure they are operating properly, efficiently and safely, as directed by Chief Engineer.
• Promptly responds to front desk reports of guest problems or concerns, informs the front desk when action is complete so the front desk can perform “Courtesy Call Back” telephone calls.
• Performs preventative maintenance, repairs, or makes recommendations for repairs, as assigned: all mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems, all building components and furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Maintains the grounds daily, including landscaping and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe and attractive manner.
• Performs the “PM” schedule on a timely basis, ensuring that all elements of the guest room meet the standards of the brand.
• Performs painting, carpentry, plumbing, emergency carpet cleaning and other jobs as necessary.
• Full-time hours currently available (at least 30 hours per week) and must have open availability, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Experience/Education
High school diploma or general education degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; 2 years minimum work experience in maintenance or trades. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
