Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a proactive PCB design engineer in Chandler, AZ to contribute to high-quality designs and documentation.

You will align with tester requirements, create design deliverables, and participate in design reviews with global teams. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in electrical/electronic engineering, have 0-3 years of PCB design experience, and are proficient with Altium or Siemens Xpedition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
• 0–3 years of professional PCB design experience.
• Familiarity with schematic design and PCB layout.
• Knowledge of Altium or Siemens Xpedition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce/design high quality PCB designs meeting tester requirements and BU methodology.
• Prepare and generate design documents and deliverables.
• Review PCB designs using the specified checklist.
• Provide design feedback to peers.
• Create and communicate project schedules with Global Team.
• Conduct incoming inspection on assigned projects.
• Attend design review meetings with HW/E and project requestors.
• Ensure timely task activation and completion.

Job Description:

• Produce/Design high quality PCB design that adheres to Tester requirement and Business Unit's Specific methodology
• Prepare and generate design documents and deliverables
• Review PCB designs using the specified checklist
• Provide design feedback to your peers
• Create and communicate the schedule of the project with Global Team
• Conduct Incoming inspection on projects assigned
• Assign/Delegate Task to team members
• Attend design review meeting with HWE and Project requestors
• Activate and complete the tasks in a timely manner.
• Responsible for individual's productivity, quality and on time performance to optimize project cycle time.
• Participate in team meetings, project reviews and team discussions.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering.
• 0-3 years of professional experience.
• Preferably with 2-5 years' experience working with PCB design.
• Must be familiar with schematic design and PCB layout.
• Knowledge of PCB design using Altium Software and Siemens Xpedition is a preference.
• Must possess excellent English oral and written communication, and can work in a Global Team
• Knowledgeable in Semiconductor ATE set up
• Knowledgeable on Datasheet and Mechanical drawing interpretation
• Knowledgeable on PCB fabrication and Gerber
