Clymer Farner Barley (CFB) is seeking an Engineer I (Entry-Level Civil Engineer) to join our Middleton/The Villages HQ. You will support senior engineers on site development, stormwater, utilities, roadways, and drainage projects, gaining real-world experience under licensed professionals.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET/EAC-accredited degree and possess or are pursuing EIT certification, with familiarity in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a major plus and helpful for landing the role.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist civil engineering design using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
• Support design teams with calculations, plan production, and data collection for permitting.
• Conduct field work and site visits as directed by senior engineers.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to support project delivery from start to finish.
• Prepare and contribute to technical reports and documentation.
• Learn and apply CFB’s standards and civil engineering best practices.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Engineer I (Entry-Level Civil Engineer) to join our team at the primary office location of Middleton/The Villages (HQ).

Job Description

As an Engineer I for Civil Engineering, you will support senior engineers and project managers by performing routine aspects of civil engineering assignments. You’ll assist with design, field work, and technical documentation on a variety of civil projects including site development, stormwater systems, utilities, roadways, and drainage. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience, grow under the mentorship of licensed professionals, and begin building your engineering career.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with civil engineering design using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software.

• Support design teams with calculations, plan production, and data collection for permitting and construction.

• Conduct field work and site visits as directed by senior engineers.

• Collaborate with other disciplines to support project delivery from start to finish.

• Prepare and contribute to technical reports and documentation.

• Learn and apply CFB’s standards, client expectations, and civil engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET/EAC‑accredited program or a closely related engineering disciplinerequired.

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification and previous experience or exposure to land development projects are major pluses!

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in office and field settings.
