Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Engineer on the components team to support reactor mechanical components and primary system analysis. The role involves designing and analyzing with leads, PMs, and customers, located in Cranberry, PA with hybrid work.

You will coordinate activities, prepare design and safety documentation, and occasionally travel to customer and vendor sites to provide on-site support and issue resolution.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.

About the role:

As an Engineer on the components team, you will communicate with leads, project managers, and customers. You will coordinate activities associated with assigned work scope, such as design and analysis for reactor mechanical components and primary system support.

You will report to the Manager, Reactor Mechanical Products and be located at Cranberry, PA and work in a hybrid capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analytical calculations and evaluations using engineering tools and methods.
• Documentation related to calculations and analysis.
• Design documentation for safety and non-safety related hardware like manufacturing drawings, functional and design specifications, and qualification reports.
• Occasionally travel to customer and manufacturing vendor sites to provide on-site support, deliver presentations, and aid in issue resolution.

Qualifications:

• We require a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or other related engineering discipline.
• 0 years of experience.
• 1 years of experience with or knowledge of materials science beneficial, but not required.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. We estimate the base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon qualifications, to be 58,400 - 73,000 per year.
