Loews Coronado Bay Resort seeks a skilled Engineer I to perform maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry within a 15-acre hotel setting. You will respond to requests, support emergency procedures, and maintain guest-ready facilities with safety and quality at the forefront.

You should bring hands-on trade experience, a commitment to reliability, and the ability to mentor teammates while upholding company standards and hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Perform skilled trade work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other maintenance disciplines.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations.
• Monitor and maintain hotel systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
• Operate tools, equipment, and hazardous materials safely, following all MSDS guidelines.
• Complete required documentation and maintenance records for all work performed.
• Assist in dispatching and supporting team operations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding job status and maintenance concerns.
• Execute emergency response procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
• Support the setup and execution of special events and functions as required.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-kept work areas and equipment.
• Adhere to hotel policies, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Promote teamwork, safety, and hospitality in all interactions with guests and colleagues.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.

Your Experience Includes :

• Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in maintenance or skilled trades with journey‑level responsibilities in a hospitality or hotel maintenance environment, preferred.
• Post-high school training or equivalent education in a maintenance or engineering-related discipline, preferred.
• Certification or additional formal training related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or other trades, preferred.
• Proven background in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or related trades.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining trade-related tools, equipment, and systems.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical and operational issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest‑first mindset.
• Familiarity with safety standards, MSDS compliance, and hazardous materials handling. Experience with emergency response procedures and routine inspections.
