Happy Valley Casino is seeking a hands-on Engineer/General Maintenance Tech to join our Facilities team in State College, PA. You will maintain the property, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in maintenance or skilled trades, with knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and safe procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Performing general maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, basic electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Assisting with building and grounds maintenance, including snow removal and exterior upkeep.
• Safely and properly operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Supporting casino and special event operations by maintaining and assisting with related equipment and facility needs.
• Completing and submitting work request forms accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assisting other maintenance trades and departments as needed.
• Following established safe work practices and wearing all required PPE.
• Helping ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

We are looking for a skilled Engineer/General Maintenance Tech to join our Facilities team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the property, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for our guests and team members. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with experience across multiple trades, a strong commitment to workplace safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced entertainment environment.

This position will report directly to the Facilities Manager and will be responsible for:

• Performing general maintenance and repairs involving plumbing, basic electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
• Assisting with building and grounds maintenance, including snow removal and exterior upkeep.
• Safely and properly operating hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.

The successful candidate for this role will possess the following:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 85 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding safely and effectively.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety.
