What you will be doing:
Evaluate production equipment performance and efficiency.
Perform load calculations and select appropriate FEEDERS for system stability.
Conduct preventive maintenance on transformers, generators, UPS, and batteries.
Monitor key equipment in the central control room in real-time, including power consumption.
Develop system documentation (PM job plans, operating instructions, action plans, training) and lead root cause analysis (RCA) for electrical system failures.
Manage PA system operations, including installation, maintenance, and user training.
Ensure maintenance meets OEM and AHJ/Code requirements.
Coordinate with utility providers on load management and downtime.
Manages the Electrical Load Database to ensure distribution and source maintain redundancy and capacity for future expansion. Reviews ground fault, electrical coordination and Arc Flash Analysis and works to mitigate risk.
Develop and review plans, specifications, cost estimates, and safety plans.
Provide training and troubleshooting for electricians to ensure safe switching and subsequent work.
Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of equipment systems are met, and equipment operations, repairs, modifications, and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
Perform additional duties as needed, including ERT.
What you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant post education experience as an electrical engineer.
3+ years of experience in maintenance with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design.
Previous knowledge in the operation of industrial and/or commercial processing equipment, semiconductor or Electric Utility experience is preferred.
Must have knowledge of industry standards, codes and regulations, and the ability to apply to maintenance operation of site Electrical Power systems.
Proficiency with electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
Demonstrates competence and comprehensive knowledge concerning adjacent disciplines such as controls, water, gas and chemicals or mechanical.
Well-defined specific knowledge of relevant engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills required to apply technical knowledge to reach conclusions from testing results, data collation, computations, statistical analysis and arriving at the most effective, economical, and logical solution.
Demonstrated effectiveness at coordinating and assertively directing subcontractors.
Experience with Hook-Up & Lay-out – Matrix review of production equipment, preparation of bidding documents, on-site supervision, equipment turn-on, and handover.
For expansion construction, experience performing all tasks related to planning, design, construction, completion, and various permits.
Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to safely climb ladders, and work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs, or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces.
