Job description

Position Overview:

Directs and coordinates the completion of Continuous Improvement engineering activities in manufacturing and business processes. Responsible for leading plant-wide and department-level performance improvement initiatives that positively affect safety, quality, cost, material flow, and productivity. Supports the development of a Continuous Improvement culture through leadership, expertise, and collaboration. Works with operations to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively, leading initiatives to ensure sustainable results. Typical responsibilities include time studies, workplace organization, value stream mapping, developing manufacturing standardized work, completing manufacturing cell designs, quick changeover, scheduling & material system optimization, total productive maintenance, leader standard work, problem solving, daily management process support, and overall analysis for efficiency opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Integer's Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements including QMS, FDA regulations, company policies, and other regulatory standards.
  • Under supervision, apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to adapt and modify existing products and processes.
  • Review procedures and plans prior to implementation; evaluate existing products, processes, and materials for failure analysis and improvements.
  • Participate in projects to investigate, develop, document, and implement new product and process technologies of moderate complexity.
  • Follow Integer's quality management and production system methodologies to investigate opportunities for product and process improvements.
  • Apply data analysis practices to establish root cause for failures and support improvements.
  • Observe products and processes to recognize discrepancies and establish root causes.
  • Collaborate with others, exchange information, ask questions, and check for understanding to support your development as an engineer.
  • Embed Quality within the Engineering discipline, ensuring adherence to QMS, facilitating corrective and preventive actions, and contributing to quality KPIs and journey to 5 Sigma.
  • Perform other duties as needed and as directed.
  • Champion the development and deployment of systems and tools to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Embrace the Manufacturing Excellence culture based on the Integer Production System and its five focus areas: Strategy Alignment, Leadership of Sustained Change, Standardization, Associate Engagement, and Systems & Process Optimization.

Measurement Criteria:

  • Support safety programs actively; safety is the highest priority.
  • Meet defined Goals and Objectives with key projects and milestones.
  • Achieve site Quality KPIs.
  • Generate continuous improvement suggestions and support their implementation.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field, with 0-3 years of experience; candidates with 5+ years of relevant experience may also be considered if they do not meet the education requirement.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical aptitude; capable of contributing individually or as part of a team.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Calm demeanor in a high-energy, evolving environment.
  • Positive attitude and resilient mindset, believing failure is not an option.

Salary Range: $59,250.00 - $86,900.00
