Organization Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support for operations equipment and facilities at the Plainfield and Enfield Distribution Centers, including capital project implementation, commissioning, qualification, GMP improvements, BMS & QMBS support, security systems, electrical/instrument support, Veeva Vault support, and HSE programs. The Building Automation Engineer manages BMS/QBMS systems, including user access, alarms, data analysis, and lifecycle management.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

• Regulatory Compliance: Collaborate with QA to ensure all building equipment and automation systems meet standards, including documentation, validation, change management, and system maintenance. Responsible for Asset Delivery strategy.
• Audit Support: Act as Responsible Engineer or backup for NA Logistics Operations audits related to Asset Delivery, BMS, and TSA security.
• Capital Projects: Manage all aspects, including requirements gathering, commissioning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet expectations.
• Equipment/Facilities Support: Support maintenance to ensure systems meet requirements; serve as Responsible Engineer for BMS.
• Security & Safety: Manage security assets and promote safe behaviors, supporting operational safety and executing HSE projects.
• Documentation & Compliance: Ensure data integrity, support Veeva Vault, conduct deviation investigations, and prepare specifications and scope documents for projects.
• Additional Responsibilities: Create site procedures, participate in temperature reporting, and support security reporting.

Basic Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering or relevant qualifications in BMS technologies.
• 4+ years supporting BMS in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and building systems like HVAC, refrigeration, etc.
• Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys BMS and cGMP/regulatory requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Genetec and Veeva Vault.
• Understanding contractor safety programs, lean manufacturing, and strong communication skills.
• Project management experience and electrical/instrumentation expertise.

Additional Information:

• Role involves 24/7 operation support, off-hours assistance, and occasional travel to CT (5-15%).

Compensation varies based on education, experience, and location, with an anticipated salary range of $64,500 - $167,200. Benefits include a 401(k), pension, health coverage, flexible spending, life insurance, leave benefits, and well-being programs.
