Job summary

Maffeis Engineering S.p.A. is seeking an Engineer/Architect for site assistance, primarily focusing on support for structural works and façades in international projects. The position is based in the United States, New Jersey, and requires candidates with a degree in civil engineering or architecture, along with proficiency in structural design.

Engineer / Architect for site Assistance

We are looking for motivated Engineers and Architects for site assistance to cooperate in our office in Middle East.

YOUR TASKS

• On-site support during the construction;
• Design support, with on-site presence, during the construction of structural works (concrete and/or steel);
• Design support, with on-site presence, during the construction of envelope/façades;
• Review of shop drawings produced by the contractor;
• Review of method of statement;
• Analysis of the Contractor’s Value engineering proposals;
• Reply to RFI;
• Coordination of the dedicated staff, if any.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in civil engineering, with a focus on structures, or degree in architectural;
• Proficiency in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures;
• Preferably 2+ years of professional experience in structural design (knowledge of façade systems is a plus but not strictly necessary);
• Good knowledge of the English language;
• Knowledge of FEM and CAD software (knowledge of BIM is a plus);
• Responsible, attentive, and reliable;
• Team-oriented;
• Eager to challenge oneself with demanding projects;
• Experiences in Middle East Region
