Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the property grounds, public areas, and hotel guest rooms
- Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns in hotel accommodations
- Paint, replace electrical accessories, and maintain HVAC systems
- Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain adequate supply of spare parts and light bulbs
- Respond to maintenance orders promptly
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- Complete daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
- Perform various other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Minimum of two to three years in a hotel maintenance position preferred
- Preferred but not required: one year of college or trade school in mechanical, electrical, or technical disciplines
- In‑depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Basic math skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
- Excellent time‑management skills
