Job summary

Comcast is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join the RDK Operations team, transforming automated testing methodologies for large-scale Customer Premises Equipment. Qualifications

• Two years of experience developing test automation frameworks in Java using Selenium and TestNG.

• Proficient in REST/SOAP, Git, JIRA/Confluence, and database work with MongoDB.

Job Description

DUTIES: Contribute to the RDK Operations team responsible for the transformation of automated testing methodologies on a large scale for intricate Customer Premises Equipment, including TV, Streaming Boxes, Broadband Routers, and Smart Home Devices; develop test automation frameworks and scripts in Java using Selenium and TestNG; set up and configure project dependencies, and build and package Java applications within the automation framework using Maven; use Git, GitHub, and SVN for version control; build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Concourse; design and implement test frameworks using Python, Shell, and Bash Scripting; use REST and SOAP web services to communicate between systems; use JIRA, ALM, and Confluence for task management; manage databases using MySQL, ELK, and MongoDB; develop and deploy scalable services using Kubernetes; leverage Docker for containerization of test frameworks; perform application monitoring and alerting using Grafana and Prometheus; work with RDK Video (RDK-V) and RDK Broadband (RDK-B) technologies; automate testing in upholding quality standards amid continuous delivery; collaborate with teams to write software to support cloud services at scale; develop complex test automation strategies and scripts and frameworks; provide innovative solutions within the realm of sophisticated architectures inherent in leading-edge technologies; and provide seamless delivery of solutions as services to stakeholders utilizing similar products worldwide. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing test automation frameworks and scripts in Java using Selenium and TestNG; setting up and configuring project dependencies, and building and packaging Java applications within the automation framework using Maven; using Git, GitHub, and SVN for version control; building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Concourse; using REST and SOAP web services to communicate between systems; using JIRA, ALM, and Confluence for task management; managing databases using MongoDB; developing and deploying scalable services using Kubernetes; performing application monitoring and alerting using Grafana and Prometheus; and working with RDK Video (RDK-V) and RDK Broadband (RDK-B) technologies; of which one (1) year includes designing and implementing test frameworks using Python, Shell, and Bash Scripting; managing databases using MySQL and ELK; and leveraging Docker for containerization of test frameworks.
