Pike Engineering seeks an Engineer 3 to advance civil-site development and permitting for utility projects including substations, transmission lines, and battery storage. You will lead discipline work, prepare design packages, and support project schedules and budgets while maintaining strong client relationships.
Required ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, 3–5 years’ experience, and PE license or ability to obtain within a year. Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcMap skills are preferred.
Provide engineering and technical expertise to solve complexcivil-site development and permitting problems for utility substation, transmission line, and battery storage and renewables projects. This role includes both direct billable client work (project work) and project management support for projects. The incumbent is expected to lead discipline work for projects, perform responsible engineering, and support the project manager on project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Under minimum supervision in the area of power delivery and civil-site engineering, the incumbent will provide:
Experience and expertise in the identification, analysis, and resolution of engineering, technical and design problems.
Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
Thorough, timely, and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
Continuous improvement of job-related engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills, process development, and performance.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Should be able to understand and create substation civil-site drawing packages (utilizing industry standards and best practices.
Champion the company's goals and represent the company positively and professionally.
Interact with customer's internal engineers and technical personnel on a day-to-day basis.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with customers.
Monitor deliverables, schedules, and present solutions to the client.

RequiredA Bachelor'sdegreefroma four-yearcollegeorUniversityin Civil Engineering.
RequiredEngineering Degree awarded from a College of University that is accredited by ABET.
3-5Year(s) Experience as an Engineer.
Professional Engineering (PE) license or the ability to be licensed within a year.

B. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

A. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Have a proficient understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and utilize a range of other design computer packages including, but not limited to: ESRI ArcMap, Microsoft Office, and HydroCAD.
