Job summary

Constellation is seeking engineers at varying levels (Engineer, Senior Engineer, Principal Engineer) to perform critical engineering tasks in our power plants. Responsibilities include technical problem solving, analysis, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and demonstrated knowledge of industry codes. Compensation includes bonus and comprehensive benefits, with salary ranges that vary by level and experience.

ENGINEER - Expected salary range

of $92,700 to $103,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

SENIOR ENGINEER - Expected salary range

of $122,400 to $136,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - Expected salary range

of $151,200 to $168,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

ENGINEER - Primary Purpose Of Position

Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision.

SENIOR ENGINEER - Primary Purpose Of Position

Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.

PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - Primary Purpose Of Position

Performs advanced engineering problem solving. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses superior knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has excellent knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations. Functions with recognized industry-level of expertise in a technical area.

ENGINEER - Primary Duties And Accountabilities
  • Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of Power plant operations.
  • Assure all engineering products prepared are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, engineering specifications and all regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of effective processes and techniques at appropriate levels of detail and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Recommend format and methodology improvements to standard processes and procedures.
  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
SENIOR ENGINEER - Primary Duties And Accountabilities
  • Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
  • Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
  • Provide complete task management of engineering issues.
  • Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision applying engineering principles.
  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
  • Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
  • Has completed assigned skills and knowledge development training to broaden and deepen knowledge in select areas. Assist/mentor junior engineers on technical issues
  • All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)

  • Supports plant design modifications, testing and problem solving.
  • Assure all engineering products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement and coordinate functional supervisory activities including, but not limited to, personnel, budgetary accountabilities and planning goals with respect to engineering personnel.

ENGINEER - Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2 years related experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
SENIOR ENGINEER - Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical) with 5 years technical experience or related engineering experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical) with 10 years technical experience or related engineering experience
  • Maintain minimum access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
ENGINEER - Preferred Qualifications

Experience in collaboration across engineering, site functions (Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, Safety).

SENIOR ENGINEER - Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in leading cross functional initiatives.
PRINCIPAL ENGINEER - Preferred Qualifications
  • One of the following: (A) Recognized fleet or industry expert. (B) Registered structural or professional engineer. (C) Master's or PhD in engineering or physical science.
  • One of the following: (A) Site/Corporate leadership (leads HITs, project manages outage or on-line work, lead for issue termination, troubleshooting lead. (B) Industry leadership (chair EPRI committee, owners group committee chair, lead industry initiative). (C) interdepartmental experience.
