Job summary

Boston Marriott Newton, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our hotel team. You will perform trades in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and general upkeep to ensure smooth hotel operations.

We value detail-oriented, guest-focused professionals who can work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, lift up to 50 lbs, and maintain accurate logs and reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or resort maintenance role is required.
• Knowledge of household repairs (carpentry, electrical, plumbing) is preferred.
• Engaging and welcoming personality is important.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance of building and facility mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Performs general electrical repairs on appliances, wiring, switches, fixtures and motors.
• Repairs plumbing fixtures, piping, drains and sanitary systems.
• Repairs woodwork, walls, doors, windows, carpeting, etc.
• Performs general mechanical maintenance on pumps, compressors, water heaters, and related equipment.
• Keeps records and submits reports/logs as required.

This individual performs a variety of maintenance trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, HVAC, Painting, wall repair, tile work and upkeep of the preventative maintenance program of the resort/hotel. Maintains logs on completed tasks. Prepares reports as requested by supervisors.
