Job summary

ALTEN is looking for a Contractor in San Diego, California, to focus on intensive testing of end-to-end 5G system performance. You will analyze and validate various Qualcomm and third-party features while collecting performance data and providing reports.

Successful candidates will have experience in troubleshooting, defect tracking, and developing scripts to analyze test results. This role requires independent work along with collaboration with other engineers.

Job description

Overview

Contractor will be responsible for intensive testing of end-to-end 5G system performance, including Physical, MAC, RLC, PDCP, higher layer protocols, as well as data applications implemented on various Qualcomm/3rd party Infra products, handsets, and data modem. Contractor will be responsible for working independently and alongside other engineers to effectively perform daily tasks. Contractor will be responsible for complete testing, and providing accurate test status, findings, and reports.

Responsibilities

• Contractor will be responsible to understanding Qualcomm test requirements and will perform execution to cover all tests and Use-cases to validate and troubleshoot end to end system for both functional and performance.
• Contractor will be responsible for testing and validation of all existing and new features implemented in RAN, Core Network and network management frameworks from Qualcomm and 3rd party partners/vendors.
• The contractor will also be responsible for collecting logs from UEs, RAN, Core Network, NW management platform for performance monitoring and characterization.
• Contractor will be responsible for verifying fixes released by Qualcomm and its Partners and perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of issues seen in lab/OTA.
• Contractor will be responsible for working on defect tracking system with Qualcomm and its partners to follow up and closing issues.
• Contractor will be responsible for Regression, validation of OTA and field issues, NW management/automation & SON scripts
• Contractor will be responsible for Stress and stability testing.
• Contractor will be responsible for data collection and developing scripts (Python, others as needed) to analyze test results.
