Job summary

Pacific Hospitality Group seeks a skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems. You will respond to guest requests, log work orders, and maintain tools and records for efficient operation.

Candidates should have vocational training or building trades certification plus at least three years of related experience, with the ability to mentor junior engineers and uphold safety standards.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH
  1. Responsible for performing repairs in and around the hotel requiring expertise in areas of HVAC, plumbing and electrical. Performs expert level maintenance and repairs based on individual’s certification/proficiency, ability, experience, skill level and training. Works in any areas requiring assistance as assigned and based on business need. Repairs include, carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration repairs, finish work, HVAC repairs, etc.
  2. Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refers the matter to management. Notifies supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft. Responds to guest and internal requests for service/repair as assigned.
  3. Uses computer to receive work orders and record work performed. Keeps timely and accurate records.
  4. Performs preventive maintenance on tools and maintains all tools and equipment used in performance of the job. Keeps tools orderly and in good working order.
  5. Inspects, maintains, repairs and replaces parts found throughout the property, such as machinery, repair/cleaning of drains, replacing light bulbs and filters, etc.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Certified or proficient in three or more areas of hotel maintenance and repair, including HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical. Performs maintenance and repair throughout the hotel requiring advanced expertise of systems used at the hotel. Provides guidance to less experienced engineers. Keeps accurate records on assigned tasks.

GREAT IF YOU HAVE
  • Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades required in all three of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing.
  • Three years related experience required.
  • Contacts sometimes contain confidential/sensitive information so requires ability to use discretion.
