Job summary

AC Hotel San Rafael is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to keep our hotel running smoothly. You’ll handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems while ensuring guest comfort and safety. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, respond to equipment issues, and follow OSHA guidelines.

High school diploma required; trade licenses and hotel experience are a plus. This full-time onsite role offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or related field preferred.
• Trade license for plumbing, electrical, HVAC or carpentry is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable MVR.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance across hotel plumbing, HVAC, electrical and other systems to prevent issues and ensure smooth operation.
• Fix equipment, address leaks, and resolve emergencies like fire alarms and power outages with safety first.
• Follow OSHA guidelines, move objects over 50 lbs., climb ladders, and maintain clean, safe work areas while safeguarding tools and hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Technical & Preventive Maintenance Powerhouse: Take charge of daily inspections, repairs, and fine-tuning across our hotel’s plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systems—catching small issues before they become big ones. Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common spaces, and on essential equipment (from refrigerators to ice machines), keeping everything running smoothly for an exceptional guest experience. Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to ensure our hotel remains both beautiful and fully operational.
• Quick-Fix Hero: Jump into action to solve equipment hiccups, leaks, and those mysterious electrical issues—no problem too puzzling! Tackle emergencies like fire alarms and power outages with cool confidence, always putting guest safety front and center.
• Safety Superpowers: Move objects over 50 lbs., scale ladders, and power through physically demanding tasks with strength and stamina. Follow OSHA safety guidelines when wielding tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinery—safety first, always! Keep work areas spotless and safe, with proper storage for tools and hazardous materials to protect everyone.

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
• Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is highly desirable.
• Valid driver's license required, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
