Job summary

Kolter Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Hyatt Place St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg, FL. This role maintains the hotel’s physical plant, performs preventative maintenance, and ensures guest comfort by keeping systems and equipment in good working order.

You will repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks, respond to service requests promptly, and keep accurate maintenance records. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

• Experience in mechanical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and building maintenance.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain facility building and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance across mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry and plumbing.
• Respond to elevator breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Respond to engineering service requests in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Maintain engineering work area in an orderly and clean fashion.
• Ensure tools/equipment are returned and stored properly.
• Assist in handling emergencies to protect guests and staff.

Overview: A Kolter Hospitality Maintenance Engineer delivers service excellence and facilitates a positive guest experience while maintaining the overall operation of the maintenance department. This position is responsible for hotel maintenance including preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.

Performance Expectations:

• Repair and maintain facility building and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property such
• as mechanical, electrical, painting, carpentry and plumbing.
• Respond to elevator breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Respond and resolve engineering service requests in courteous,
• efficient manner.
• Maintain engineering work area in an orderly and clean fashion.
• Ensure all tools/equipment used are returned to the shop and

• or secured in proper storage area.
• Assist in handling emergencies in order to protect our guests
• and team members and preserve the building and its systems during
• the emergency.
• Follow proper lost and found procedures for
• items left behind in a guest room.
• Report any items in need of repair.
• Follow all safety procedures while working.
