Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Project Engineer for our Operations team on a Shippingport, PA project. This full-time, in-person role supports overall project management and coordination to ensure on-site success.

The ideal candidate has a construction or engineering degree or 3+ years of relevant experience, along with strong communication and time-management skills and proficiency with standard design and project tools. Occasional relocation may be required to support project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering related field or 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication and time management skills, computer proficiency, and collaboration ability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site trades and manage material design, fabrication, delivery and installation.
• Read and interpret Construction Design Documents and Specifications.
• Create construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Oversee trade management and coordination with some exposure to BIM.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Operations team on our project in Shippingport, PA. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Initial responsibilities would include on site trade coordination and management, coordination of material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, ongoing interaction with field supervision, management of cost and design issues (change orders, RFI's, document updates, etc.) and other responsibilities focused on overall project management and success.
• Read and understand Construction Design Documents and Specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Overall trade management and coordination, and some level of exposure to BIM.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering related field OR 3+ years of equivalent work experience
• Successful candidates will also possess outstanding communication and time management skills, computer skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred:

• Willingness to relocate as needed.
