Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Operations team on a project in Shippingport, PA. This is a full-time, in-person role focused on coordinating trades, interpreting design documents, and supporting cost estimation and project delivery.

Ideal candidates will hold a construction/engineering degree or have 3+ years of relevant experience, with strong communication, time management, and collaborative skills. Willingness to relocate is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering field or 3+ years of equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication and time management skills, plus solid computer skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site trade activities and manage material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, interfacing with field supervision.
• Read and interpret Construction Design Documents and Specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Coordinate trades and gain exposure to BIM processes.

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Operations team on our project in Shippingport, PA. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Initial responsibilities would include on site trade coordination and management, coordination of material design, fabrication, delivery and installation, ongoing interaction with field supervision, management of cost and design issues (change orders, RFI’s, document updates, etc.) and other responsibilities focused on overall project management and success.
• Read and understand Construction Design Documents and Specifications.
• Perform construction cost estimates and quantity surveys for various scopes of work.
• Overall trade management and coordination, and some level of exposure to BIM.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in a construction/engineering related field OR 3+ years of equivalent work experience
• Successful candidates will also possess outstanding communication and time management skills, computer skills, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Preferred

• Willingness to relocate as needed.
