Job summary

Holder Construction is seeking a Manager to join our Operations team on our Shippingport, PA project. This full-time, in-person position leads on-site execution, manages the project team, and oversees cost, schedule, safety, and quality to meet contractual requirements.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering (or 3+ years of relevant experience) and proven use of construction management software for document control, RFIs, scheduling, and financials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Experience using construction management software for collaboration, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and finances.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relocation to projects as needed (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution of construction projects per contract, schedule, safety, quality and budget.
• Assign, coordinate, and oversee the project team and trade-responsible engineers.
• Manage project financials including cost forecasting, owner billings, invoices, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with the field team to plan schedule, safety initiatives, and quality standards.
• Oversee project office setup to support daily operations.
• Review, interpret, and apply design documents and specifications.
• Identify and resolve project issues to ensure successful outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members and uphold company culture.

We are looking for a Manager to join our Operations team on our project in Shippingport, PA. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution of construction projects in accordance with contract requirements, schedule, safety, quality, and budget expectations.
• Assign, coordinate, and oversee responsibilities of the project team, including trade‑responsible engineers.
• Manage project financials, including monthly cost forecasting, owner billings, invoice review and approval, and subcontractor management.
• Collaborate closely with the field team to plan and execute project schedule, safety initiatives, and quality standards.
• Oversee project and project office setup to support efficient daily operations.
• Review, interpret, and apply construction design documents and specifications.
• Proactively identify and resolve project issues to support successful project outcomes.
• Lead by example by demonstrating integrity and mentoring junior team members in alignment with company culture.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field OR 3+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Experience and competency using construction management software for project collaboration, document control, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, financials, and field communication.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

• Ability to relocate to projects as needed.
• Experience in on-site operations management for a general contractor.
