Wood Construction Lumber Job Search is seeking a Millwork Engineer (Inventor) for an on-site role in Indiana. You will lead design efforts for commercial millwork, coordinate with production, and produce precise shop drawings and BOMs.

The ideal candidate has strong Inventor skills, drafting experience, and a background in wood products or manufacturing. Relocation is possible; company benefits include PTO, health, and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Drafting experience with blueprints and shop drawings.
• Inventor software experience; training available if needed.
• 2+ years in wood products industry preferred.
• Manufacturing/design engineering background.
• Experience in commercial millwork a plus.

Millwork Engineer (Inventor) of Commercial/Residential Millwork

Location: IN

Job Description:

We make commercial store fixtures, architectural millwork, and commercial cabinets.

• Looking for a highly motivated candidate who is a quick learner, adaptive to changing environments, and capable of multitasking.
• This is a full-time position.
• This is an on-site job offer.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assistant lead role in coordinating engineering tasks with production schedule.
• Provide detailed design and shop drawings
• Produce cut list, and bill of material list (BOM)
• Work with problem areas to develop solutions
• Work with the customer and listen to the needs they have.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Drafting 5 year
• Inventor 1 year
• 2 plus years of wood products working is a plus
• Manufacturing experience in Design and Engineering
• Commercial Millwork experience is a plus
• Basic knowledge of Cabinet Vision software (Company will provide training if required)
• Proficient with Inventor
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings
• Knowledge of CNC is a plus, but is not mandatory
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident of USA or have visa status permitting them to work in the USA.
• Must have applicable experience in the Woodworking Industry.

Job Salary:

$65k to $90K+ (higher for top level experience)
