Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor solar and wind farm performance through SCADA dashboards.
  • Identify anomalies in real-time, perform root-cause analysis.
  • Document incidents and generate performance reports.
  • Propose preventive measures and assist in maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and provide updates.

Job Summary

As a NOC Engineer at KP Group, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting our solar and wind assets. You will work with CMS systems, real‑time data, and industry‑leading tools to ensure the highest level of availability and efficiency in our power generation portfolio. This position requires flexibility to work in a 24/7 operation with a four‑shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to support our continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Real‑Time Monitoring & Analysis – Continuously monitor solar and wind farm performance through SCADA dashboards and other specialized tools, tracking key metrics such as energy output, equipment performance, and environmental conditions.
  • Incident Detection & Troubleshooting – Identify anomalies or alarms in real‑time, perform root‑cause analysis, and coordinate with field technicians or third‑party service providers to expedite resolution of outages or performance drop‑offs.
  • Incident Management & Reporting – Document incidents, actions taken, and resolutions; generate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports highlighting trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Preventive & Corrective Actions – Propose and implement preventive measures, and assist in planning and executing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize generation.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and other cross‑functional teams to address technical challenges; provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding incident status, escalation needs, and performance metrics.
Requirements
  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 1–3 years of experience in a NOC or operations center, preferably in the energy or utilities sector.
    • Familiarity with renewable energy systems (solar, wind) or SCADA/telemetry systems is a strong plus.
  • Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in monitoring tools and data analytics platforms.
    • Hands‑on experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues remotely.
    • Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) are advantageous.
  • Soft Skills
    • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive and self‑driven attitude.
Other Requirements
  • Willingness and ability to work in a 24/7 operation with four rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies in the renewable energy sector.
  • Located in or willing to relocate to Surat, India.
