Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm based in California, is hiring a roadway design engineer to join our Transportation Department. We work on a wide variety of projects including highways, local roadways, bike trails, pedestrian facilities, and drainage facilities. This is a staffed, hourly, non‑exempt position.

Department: Transportation

Location: Denver, CO

Compensation: $37.50 - $49.50 / hour

What you will be doing

• Design roadway system improvements and related transportation structures under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Prepare plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform technical studies and prepare technical documents such as Project Reports.
• Develop appropriate preliminary concepts and layouts.
• Oversee and mentor entry level staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience on roadway design projects.
• Expert in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design related software.
• Experience using roadway design standards such as the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

The hourly pay range may vary. Offers will be based on several factors, including experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, training, and location.
