Wood Rodgers, a leading engineering consulting firm based in California, is hiring a roadway design engineer to join our Transportation Department. We are looking for someone interested in working within a fun, multi‑discipline team who can be self‑sufficient with project work. This is a staffed, hourly, non‑exempt position.

What you will be doing

• Design roadway system improvements and related transportation structures under the guidance of a Senior Engineer.
• Prepare plans, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
• Perform technical studies and prepare technical documents such as Project Reports.
• Develop appropriate preliminary concepts and layouts.
• Oversee and mentor entry level staff.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience on roadway design projects.
• Expert in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design related software.
• Experience using roadway design standards such as the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Base pay is just one part of the comprehensive compensation package offered by Wood Rodgers.
