US Naval Sea Systems Command in Dahlgren, VA seeks a professional engineer with at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03/GS-09–11 level. The role focuses on CVN-based Combat Systems integration (SSDS, NSSMS, RAM, CIWS, and MK 38) into the shipboard environment.
Experience in planning, coordinating, and collaborating across programs and ships is valued; federal service or equivalent private/public sector background is acceptable.
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 pay band (GS-09 through GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer demonstrating knowledge/experience in one or more of the following CVN based Combat Systems (Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), NATO SeaSparrow Surface Missile System (NSSMS), RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM), Phalanx Close In Weapon System (CIWS), and MK 38 Machine Gun System (MGS)). The Candidate is expected to have knowledge/experience in processes and organizations involved in the planning and execution of the integration of these systems into the physical shipboard environment.
