Job summary

US Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command seeks a civil engineer with at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 level or equivalent. Responsibilities include producing civil engineering design packages, reviewing submissions, and supporting shore-based projects such as roads, airfields, water and sewer systems, and dredging.

Qualifications

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in Federal service or equivalent experience.
• Producing and developing civil engineering design packages, including budgeting, design drawings, plans, specifications and design-build requests for proposal.
• Reviewing civil engineering design submissions to provide subject matter expert acceptance recommendations to officials.
• Providing a wide range of shore based engineering projects including site developments, roads, airfields, water supply, sewer systems, drainage, dredging, waste facilities, shore protection.

Responsibilities

• Produce and develop civil engineering design packages with budgets, drawings, plans, specs, and RFPs.
• Review and evaluate design submissions; provide acceptance recommendations.
• Manage shore-based engineering projects: roads, airfields, water/sewer, drainage, dredging, protection.
• Consult on civil design using WBGD, AutoCAD, Autodesk and Microsoft tools.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

• Producing and developing civil engineering design packages, including budgeting, design drawings, plans, specifications and design-build requests for proposal;
• Reviewing civil engineering design submissions to provide subject matter expert acceptance recommendations to officials;
• Providing a wide range of shore based engineering projects in relation to site developments, roads, airfields, water supply, sewer systems, drainage, dredging, waste facilities, shore protection, and other large/industrial civil engineering projects;
• Providing civil engineering design consultation services utilizing software/systems (i.e. Whole Building Design Guide-WBGD, AutoCAD, Autodesk, Microsoft, and other engineering design software).
