Job summary

Lake Blackshear Resort & Golf Club, located at Georgia Veterans State Park in Cordele, GA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for all buildings and structures within the resort and park. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and requires hands-on, customer-service oriented work.

The ideal candidate has at least two years’ experience across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, or drywall, and will contribute to a culture of teamwork and best-in-class service for guests.

Qualifications

• Maintenance technician oversees all buildings and structures within the Resort and Park.
• Candidate should have a minimum of two years’ experience in at least 3 of the listed disciplines.

Responsibilities

Engineer / Maintenance Technician - Lake Blackshear Resort / GA Veterans State Park

Georgia Veterans State Park / Lake Blackshear Retreat & Conference Center, located in Cordele, Georgia, is looking for an extraordinary Maintenance Technician. • campus is comprised of 1,308 acres of pine and hardwoods located on a beautiful 8,800-acre cypress lakefront - Lake Blackshear. Lake Blackshear Resort 10 lake cabins and 6 multi-room villas, a full-service restaurant and bar with seasonal food and entertainment lakeside, catering, off site fitness center, conference center, marina with boat rental, and18 hole-golf course. In addition, we offer 82 camp sites (of which many are water front), a pioneer camp area, 3 community shelters and 4 open air picnic pavilions, swimming beach, 3D archery course and a military museum and static military displays of planes, cannons and tanks.

We are managed by the Southeast's premiere hospitality management company, Coral Hospitality.

Qualifications: The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for all buildings and structures within the Resort and Park. A potential candidate should have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in at least 3 of the following disciplines:

• Basic electrical repair
• Plumbing
• Air Conditioning Repair Knowledge
• Painting
• Drywall Patching

This is a full-time position.
